FT - DCC WOWSOUND SOUND VALUE-EQUIPPED Locomotive - WESTERN PACIFIC (green & yellow) - HO Scale. The FT locomotive produced by EMD beginning in the late 1930s is credited by historians as one of the most important locomotives of all time. The first of the EMDs widely popular F-series diesel locomotive designed for freight service, it was successful in convincing rail systems across the United States that diesel locomotives were the future of rail travel and worthy of replacing long-used steam locomotives. Bachmans new HO scale locomotives feature TCS WOW Sound prototypical sounds and a Keep-Alive device for uninterrupted operation even over dirty track. For maximum realism, this FT features a WOW sound value diesel locomotive package including an EMD 567A prime mover sound set with 8 horns, and 5 bells, plus dynamic brakes, automatic air compressor and air spitter valve, windshield wipers, brake squeal, cooling fan, coupler clank, grade-crossing quill, and directional quills.
