This professional tool's blade is composed of high grade D2 steel, which means it is highly sturdy and will endure for many years. D2 steel is a high-carbon, high-chromium tool steel that offers good wear and abrasion resistance and a hardness range of 55-62 HRC. The blade is inserted at an ergonomic handle made from durable and long-lasting walnut wood that is highly resistant to tear and wear. A brass ferrule is added to secure the shank while reducing the likelihood of the handle breaking.
