Standing approximately 12.1" tall, the Alpha III can soar up to 1,150 ft. on an Estes engine (sold separately). Its precolored body, 1-piece fin design, and 12-inch matching recovery parachute make assembly simple and rewarding. Builders can explore the fundamentals of thrust, trajectory, and aerodynamics in an engaging, real-world context.

To launch this rocket, you will need an Estes Porta Pad II Launch Pad, an Electron Beam Launch Controller, compatible Estes model-rocket engines, Starters, Recovery Wadding, and any extra materials listed in the directions (sold separately). Always follow the NAR (National Association of Rocketry) model-rocket safety code during operation.

The black body tube, fluorescent orange nose cone and one piece fin unit quickly builds into one flashy rocket. With nothing more needed than glue, you can be on the flying field in no time at all. Using standard engines, the Alpha III sores to heights over 1,100 ' (335 m). Whether youre a first time rocketeer or a long time flier, this 12.3 " (31.1 cm) rocket is a true classic that should be in every collection. What more could you ask for than a high performance, high flying classic rocket. Estes engines, and launch system and 4 AA alkaline batteries for the launch controller required - sold separately. Recommended for ages 10 and up with adult supervision for those under 12.
