From the Games Workshop Website: The Rhino allows the Space Marines to move swiftly to seize an objective or strike deep into the heart of an enemy force. Certain Space Marine squads (as indicated in their army list entry) can use Rhinos to move rapidly across a battlefield. The Rhino is without doubt the most ubiquitous vehicle in the arsenal of the Space Marines. Not only does it serve as a transport in virtually every Chapter, but also its hull is the basis of numerous variants such as the Predator, Razorback, Whirlwind and Vindicator. In its personnel carrier configuration it is proof against any small arms fire and can even resist plasma or autocannon hits. Normally it is only lightly armed, although it can be fitted with an additional storm bolter and a deadly hunter-killer missile to make it a more dangerous proposition in its own right. The main strength of the Rhino, however, is its lethal cargo of ten power-armoured Space Marines. With the Rhino these Space Marines can hit and run or storm into the heart of an enemy position to deliver the kind of swift, decisive blow that would be inconceivable on foot. This versatility makes the Rhino the workhorse of the Adeptus Astartes and an honoured piece of Imperial war gear. A Rhino Transport may be included in your Space Marines army as a transport for Space Marine Troops.
