• Mayco Foundations Series FN-004 Red Opaque Gloss Glaze (16 oz.) produces a beautiful, smooth, high-gloss red finish at Cone 06; it breaks over texture but maintains its color at Cone 6.
• Layerable and mixable low/mid-high fire (Cone 06/05-6) Mayco Foundations Series "FN" Opaque Gloss Glazes provide a wide color palette of beautiful, smooth, high-gloss hues at an excellent value for your classroom or home ceramics studio.
• Apply 2-3 coats to Cone 04 bisque, allowing glaze to dry between coats, then fire to Cone 06/05 or higher. Alternatively, apply 2-3 coats to wet/unfired or leather-hard clay, leaving an area like the back or bottom unglazed to allow for outgassing during firing, then fire to Cone 04 when clay is bone dry. Shake glaze for 5-6 seconds before use.
• An essential glaze building block! These basic, "foundation" liquid ceramic pottery glazes are non-flowing and can be used for almost any decorative technique.
• Glazes dry quickly, allowing for immediate additional glaze work and same-day kiln firing.

Mayco Foundations Series Glazes maintain a tough, durable, and craze-resistant surface when properly fired to Cone 05; glazes can also be high-fired up to Cone 6. Most maintain their color at higher temperatures; performance at Cone 6 is noted on the product label. Apply usinig a broad, soft, fully saturated brush, and in the same direction to minimize brush marks. Glazes are intermixable for custom color creation; enjoy an infinite color palette!
