Description

• 1.6 mm is very stiff and thick, commonly used for MIG welding or for strong ultra light cables.
• Available in 0.5 to 1.6mm diameters
• Corrosion resistant. Used in marine and industrial settings where resistance to most harsh chemicals is required.
• Biocompatible. Used in jewelry making and implants.
• Unbelievably lightweight for its strength.

Pure Titanium wire. Also known as Grade 1, surgical grade. Element 22 is light, strong, and corrosion resistant. Titanium is incredibly light; 1 kg of 0.5mm wire is almost a mile in length. It is suited for medical, aerospace, aviation, and marine environments. Titanium wire does not stretch, so if you pull it very hard, at a certain point it will break without elongating. This may be a desired property for some applications, and certainly superior in strength to aluminum wire if used for a mechanical or structural reinforcement application.
