Hailing from the villages of West Africa, these beautiful African waist beads are modeled after traditional Ghanaian coconut beads. Each set measures approximately 34" in size, and can be shortened to your liking by removing beads. Also known as vulcanite beads, these beads were traditionally made using recycled phono records cut up in a sequin-like fashion. Available in a variety of colors and sizes. Please note: a large majority of The Bead Chest products are handmade. Therefore, the tone, brightness, and/or color of the product received may vary from the photo. Additionally, any sizes and/or bead counts mentioned are approximations and may vary up to 10-15% from the stated number.
